Rafael Alvarado, Principal & Creative Director of Rafael Floral Design, embarked on his journey to the United States over twenty years ago from a small village in El Salvador. Arriving in Boston with limited English skills, he dedicated three years to supporting his family while discovering a passion for floral and event design while working with event designers. This passion has taken him around the globe, from a State Dinner at the White House to networking with industry in cities like Amsterdam, Paris, and Miami. Since opening Rafael Floral Design in 2020, he has been committed to transforming his clients' event visions into reality, whether for an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, with a focus on exceptional service and creativity.

Rafael Floral Design is proud to introduce Julio as our Lead Design & Production, bringing more than craftsmanship to the table—he brings vision. With a sharp eye for detail, a toolbox always at the ready, and a head full of fresh floral ideas, Julio approaches every project with artistry and innovation. Hands-on with each design, he is admired for his thoughtful approach during event builds, working closely with our team, planners, and clients to bring bold concepts to life. From large-scale installations that transform entire venues to intimate tablescapes that set the perfect mood, Julio’s work always reflects balance, creativity, and just the right amount of bold. Endlessly inspired by his dedication and artistry, we are thrilled to have Julio shaping the vision behind so many of our unforgettable floral experiences.

At Rafael Floral Design, we take pride in crafting breathtaking floral experiences, led by our passionate owner and founder, Rafael Alvarado. With a deep love for floral artistry and event design, Rafael has built a talented team dedicated to bringing each event vision to life. At the heart of our creative process is Julio, our Lead Design & Production, who ensures every concept is brought to life with precision and creativity. Working closely with him is David, our Lead Designer, whose expertise and artistry shape our signature designs. Astrid and Nayeli are skilled assistant designers who bring their creativity and precision to every event.
Behind the scenes, Luis oversees Logistics and Operations, making sure every detail is coordinated seamlessly from start to finish. On the day of your event, you may also see our incredible install associates, Inmar and Geovany, working alongside our dedicated delivery and install crew, meticulously crafting each floral installation to perfection. We are a team that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and passion for stunning events.
